Consultations?
« on: March 04, 2006, 02:36:00 am »
I don't really know in which board I should post this question....
I would like to know if anyone has continued Tracy's work and is continuing to do "consultations".
I don't know what to do anymore! Don't know where to start, where to look and what to look for! :'( :'( :'(
People around me don't know BWhispering and their answers don't satisfy me.

Please help... :'(
thanks!

Hi Marilyn,

Sorry, don't know the answer about continuing consultations but wanted to say I understand your frustrations. Dd was more than a handful and I couldn't read a single cry/signal in the beginning when I first read bw. I found it very helpful to keep a very detailed log and to attack one issue at a time (even though they are all related). First I tracked her eating schedule and put her on 2-3 hour easy. W/o this I was feeding her whenever she cried. Naps and sleep were next- all over the board and I couldn't settle her. By keeping a log I compared day to day and noted if it was a good day or bad and what time/what happened when it was bad (ie. if she cried for 2 hours before sleep the next night I would try to put her down earlier). I found that by documenting I was able to compare day/day/week to try to "copy" the good days and adjust where needed. I hope the moderators have an answer and some better advice for you, hang in there!

Thanks! I think yesterday was just one of those bad days where you question all you are doing...
I'm much better today and now that I am re-reading my post kind of find it silly! ::)

But that is ok. It helped me vent!  :)

We all have those days! Post was not silly actually, I often wondered in the beginning if there was a "number" I could call or something to get help!

I was also were you are/were.... I actually got a number and called...not realizing that Tracy had passed.  :-[  But I actually just kept on posting questions every day, trying to get answers and reading many, many posts... Even when you doubt yourself and everything you try...   :-\ remember that if you are consistent, it WILL work out.  Your lo is learning - just like you, how to be.  I can say with a 100% certainty that it does get better and easier - with a few regressions and fall backs along the way - but nothing or no one is perfect!  I hope you have better days and that you keep on looking to all these wonderful people and BWhispering for help, advice or just to vent.  ;)  BW is a wonderful thing!
