Spits food all over me

Hi All,

I am hoping that somene can give me some advice.

My 7.5 month old has startes spitting food over me when I feed him.  After a couple of mouthfuls he thinks it is funny to stick his tongue out and just spit.  Is this normal, and will it stop?

I tell him no, and say that it is naughty, but with the next mouthful he proceeds to spit it all over me and then starts howling with laughter.

At first it was funny, but he is doing it with every meal and has even started doing it with his bottles and juice.

He maybe does it becasue he know you will react in this way, my DS is 5.5months and whenever my DH talks to him he goes into fits of giggles. There was one morning Calum woke DH up from night shift and Dh came in the room and was quite serious when saying to DS that he had woken him up - Calum just got a fit of the giggles!!

He's a bit too young to understand "no," so your best bet is to ignore it completely or distract him. It's a phase and will go away on its own if you don't give it any attention.
