formula w/rice starch & constipation

I wonder if anyone ever tried enfamil A+ with rice starch and baby started having bowel problem. My DS is 16 weeks old, was excusively bf for the first 2.5 months, then started formula, one at night after bath. Now it is at 2-3 formula feed /day 6-8 oz each and 2 bf/day(I feel guilty giving it up completely). I used similac adv, was fine other than spitting up at every feed so I switched to enfamil.
He Wasn't fed infamil today as the problem started yeasterday. What could I give him for constipation.
If someone went through the same or has advice, it would be appreciated.

Am I understanding that you switched to Enfamil AR because of the spitting up? Has the spitting up gotten better since you switched? From what I know, rice starch can cause constipation. What kind of problem are you having? Just constipation or gas too?

I did switch to enfamil AR because of spit ups. It did help the spitting up but got constipated and has gas. I'm afraid to give it again.

We never had spit ups, but we did use Carnation Good Start. It is known to be easy on the baby's stomach. We never had constipation or gas with Good Start. I've read some reviews online that say Good Start helped thier LO's with spit up. If you do decide to switch formulas, make sure you stick with the new formula for at least 7 days to see results. I also resarched a bit and read that the Enfamil AR is known to cause constipation. HTH
