Hi everybody,
I'm not from the US and it seems that I don't understand everything. Can somebody explain me what dream feed is?  :-[

Hi and welcome!
It's really not a 'US' thing, it's a baby whisperer thing. Lots of people on these boards are from all over the world - including the UK, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. This board supports those who have found the 'baby whisperer' Tracy Hogg. She has written several books (including some with Melinda Blau) but is sadly no longer with us. There are several ideas mentioned in her book that you will see reflected in these boards - like the E.A.S.Y structure for a baby's day.
The dreamfeed can be done by breastfeeding or bottlefeeding. It's basically a way of 'tanking' up baby to try and encourage a longer spell of sleeping when you need to sleep. The assumption would be that baby goes to bed at a baby bedtime and then when you go to bed e.g 10.30 -11pm you go in and gently take baby out of a cot for a feed. Baby doesn't actually get fully 'woken up' but is encouraged to sleepily feed and then goes back to sleep. Babies are usually very relaxed so don't take in gas/wind and gulp air. Some babies may wake up more fully; some may seem virtually to remain asleep. It isn't something that works for every baby and some prefer to leave their babies undisturbed but it is a tool that some have found very useful.

Thank you very much. I suppoused that DF means feeding the way you described, but I wasn't sure.
When I said I'm not from the US I meant that English isn't my native language :) And I've read Tracy's book in Polish version :)
Thank you once again. I'll try DF today.
