Frozen Breastmilk as milk popsicles
« on: March 23, 2006, 18:55:45 pm »
Has anyone tried giving frozen bm as a snack??  I put it in a baby feeder bag and my DD loves it!

Should I edit this topic?? I'm not sure how.  BM bowel movement?? Why didn't think of that...I shouldn't have abbreviated breastmilk!

What is a baby feeder bag? I am interested in trying this. Kinda sounds like my lo would have fun w/ a milky popsicle.

I JUST figured it out. My dd is only 5 months so I haven't used those little mesh bags yet.  I didn't realize they were called "feeder bags"

So Sorry bout the confusion!!  Well, they way I prepare the milk pops is I put some breastmilk in a bottle cover.  I discovered this in a website but for the life of me I can't remember where!!  Anyway, If you don't have a feeder bag around you can put a soother/pacifer in th bottle cover with the milk so the soother becomes the milk pop stick.  When it's frozen and ready, just put in a container with warm water tomelt it a little so it comes out nicely.  The perfect treat for your baby!! ;D ;D ;D

Neat!  Think it would work with formula?  And no, we are not weird.  We are "uniquely maladjusted"   Or something like that.  (Sounded good...)
