Increase feed ..spitting up more and crying and moaning

hope someone can help...

Riley slept thru her night feed so when she woke this morning she was so hungry so we gave her 6oz which she normally takes 4. then all day she seemed to be more hungry so we feed her 5 to 6 oz at each feed 7,11,3,6:30.. well she was miserable all afternoon. she was spiting up and moaning and crying like crazy.. she napped great all afternoon 2 long 2 hour naps and feed great then allof a sudden all hell broke loose..

Could we have feed her to much and she just can't handle it yey. she is 3 monhs old and weighs about 12 lbs..

i don't want to do the same thing tomorrow.. she was so miserable. anyone have any ideas. she is a refluxer but on zantac.. i was thinking maybe her meds need to be increased.. i am thinking of everything...

I don't have experience with reflux, however it does sound like she is gulping/taking down too much and the spit up are the excess milk cmiming back up.

Ds does the same when he guzzles more than normal. It may be worth getting her checked out again as you say.

I have read in a few places that LO's will take as much milk as they need. Unless you force more into them. To me it sounds like she may have tried to drink it too fast and taken in air making her belly upset. If it continues, I would check out the reflux board to see if anyone has any similar problems to yours.

I have heard that you have to increase reflux med dosage as babies get bigger. Babies will sometimes gulp too much and spit up.
