At what age is it okay to feed broccoli?  Is it one of those foods we need to wait on?  I was thinking about pureeing some for DD (7 months), but haven't found any mention of it on baby food websites.

I started at 5months - pureed with potato and 6months mashed.

I found recipes in the Annable Karmel books

They say 8-10 mo, probably because broccoli is a pretty gassy food and can cause tummy upset for some babies.

It's Zander's favourite!  He eats it as a finger food (sometimes with cheese sauce) and it was one of the first successes we had with finger food as it's easy to hold (it has a handle!) and mushes up nicely in the mouth - we weaned him at 6 months and gave it to him early on.

Just started DD on it this week as i was worried about it giving her to bad wind as she suffered with wind problems in the early months. Give it a go and if you find he is fine then that is great.

Thanks!  I tried it and she loved it!  I'm still waiting to see if it gives her gas... ;)
