How much liquid with solid?
« on: March 30, 2006, 00:06:06 am »
Hi
I feed my lo ( 6.5mth) 4-6oz when she wakes then 1hr later give her solids with maybe 1-2oz of water in a sippy cup.  Am I suppose to give her more liquid? I thought giving too much liquid with solids might give her indigestion.  Should I be giving her formula instead?  Sometimes, I forget to give her any liquid during the meal at all.  What's the ideal amounts of liquid?

Sounds like you are doing great i think just offering water with meals and letting them drink as much as they need is fine. My DD has about 50mls in a day of water with her dinner and snacks. You can offer formula if you want i give DD formula in a cup with breaky and lunch to try and get some more into her. I think all babies vary on how much water they want.
