Everything is completely OFF!
« on: March 30, 2006, 14:56:45 pm »
Well, we HAD a nice litte routine going:

7 a.m. wake and bf
8:30 breakfast
9:30-11 nap
11:30 bf
1:00 lunch
2:30-4 nap
4:00 bf
5:30 dinner
6:30 bath, etc.
7 or 7:30 bed

Now everything is off.  She wakes up at 5:45. Her first nap is only lasting about 40 minutes.  2nd nap a little better at an hour and 15 minutes.  She wakes up SCREAMING a lot in the night.  Last night she woke up every 2 hours, except sometimes it was every hour.

She's kind of fussy throughout the day.

She's 9 months old and just learning to crawl.  And she seems a little congested, but not really sick.  We got back from a trip to Hawaii maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, but I thought she should be doing better by now.  Any ideas??????

This is the exact problem we are having with our 9 month old(well almost 9 months) anyway- She has been sleeping really well and then the last couple of nights has woken up around 2:00 and has a hard time going back to sleep. Which she has been sleeping through the night for a while now!
She has learned how to crawl and pull up really good in the last couple of weeks so that may be the problem.  Not sure?  Maybe it is the age!  No help but helps to know someone else has the same problem :-\

Well, I am hoping it's just a short phase or something.  It's nice to know we're not alone!

It's so funny though because we have been running into strangers at the store who say "9 months is such a great age!"--but it's really been tough!

Is she perhaps teething?  My dd got her first teeth at 9 months, but it took about a month before that to actually come through.  Otherwise, try stretching her A time before the short naps by 10-15 mins and see if that helps.  Every 3 months the first yr you can expect some kind of change in routine usually, or growth spurts.  Make sure she is getting enough to eat, maybe add a bit more solids.  Also, babies can have night terrors.  Does she wake completely at night or just cry out?
