How do I get him to eat?
« on: April 04, 2006, 16:07:29 pm »
We always have the same problem when DS is teething, he just stops eating nearly everything. The only problem now is that he is really badly constipated. I took him to the Dr's who was more than useless. He prescribed lactulose and made me feel that I was a panicky mother. The lactulose didn't work. We have also tried califig which doesn't seem to be doing anything either.

He has always had problems since we started solids. At the moment all he will eat is: yoghurt's, bananas, pasta and a bit of toast. That is it. Oh no, I can get him to eat pots of pureed fruit. He won't have any other fruit especially if I puree it. He is 12 months and his constipation has been going on for quite a few months now. I just don't know how to get him to eat anything that will help him go.

What worked brilliantly for me was to make up pear puree and when i was steaming the pears to steam a couple of dried prunes or apricots, i would then puree some of these with either pear or apple..... works wonders to help her go

you could also try prune juice ??? not tried it myself the pear/prune puree always seemed to work
