What do you do when he wakes at that time? Have you tried to re-paci, pt/sh, or pu/pd? I find re-paci works best for my dd. Have you tried wake to sleep? This could work to get him out of the habit of waking, it may take some time and you would need to do it everyday. I did this for my dd's first nap and after two weeks (she took LONG) it finally worked like a charm.

I have not been going in... in the past it would just get him more angry (especially if I picked him up) and my husband thinks we need to give this approach of not going in about 2 weeks to see if it works... I want to try giving him the pacifier but I don't want it to become a habit where he starts screaming for it in the middle of the night. I don't start the night with any prop.
As for wake to sleep.. I just started charting when he wakes etc. I want to do this but want to see what the pattern is first:-)
