I said 6 mo. Tyler was a big baby and was showing all the signs of "readiness" before then, but he was happy and thriving on breastmilk and formula so I held off. In retrospect, I'm glad I waited. It was easier to fit solids into the day when he was older and had more awake time, and he didn't spend much time in the mush phase since he was closer to being ready for finger foods.

Ok i said 4 months but i couldn't or didn't want to up DD formula anymore due to reflux and she was still hungry and my CHN said it was ok.

I also said 4 months, Calum was taking full bottles every 4 hours and it was on the advice of my HV. He is really tall and 'lean', I think all his food goes lengthways and not round his tum and thighs (definitely not taking after me  :P)

All three of my children started cereal at 4 months - they were all "larger than average"

I held out to 6 months as despite Dr's ok's I knew too many people who had problems strating earlier & also having worked in Allergy research, the evidence was too much for me to ignore.

Both my boys were VERY BIG... over 10kg (22lb) at 6 months & exclusively breastfed until almost 6 months ( actually it was about 5 days early with Liam, but he was 41.5 weeks gestation & a week earlier for Aiden as he was starting childcare & I wanted to get it established)
