Night wakings & 4-hour EASY
« on: April 17, 2006, 15:56:45 pm »
My l.o. is 4 months old and it's been rcommended to me that I put her on a 4-hour EASY.  However- a huge problem is the fact that (a) I have spent over 2 weeks trying to extend her naps (she still can't do it on her own) and (2) she is very small, and has a weight check coming because of it.  How do I put her on a 4 -hour EASY when she still gets cranky after an hour 1/2 of awake time? (especially in the morning).  And I have to stay in her nursery the entire time I am trying to extend her naps because she just isn't doing it on her own yet.

Her routine

wake 7:30/8 (after dozens of nigth wakings)
8 feed
9:30 nap  (sit in nursery to help her)
11 feed
12:45 nap
2:15 feed
4:15-4:45 catnap
5:30 feed
6:30 catnap
9:00 feed & bedtime (we are trying to move it up)

HELP!!!!!

i don't have much time right now - so hopefully someone else will have some advice too. but i think that 4 naps a day at this point is counter productive as they should have two naps and a catnap at this point. instead of giving the catnap at 6:30 why not a bedtime at 6:30 instead?
