6.5 month EASY-all at sea!
« on: April 17, 2006, 16:18:18 pm »
Hello,

I need a wee bit of help with my ds and his EASY routine no0w that we are doing solids as well...it was so easy in the good ol' days of just milk...sigh!
Can anyone tell me average awake times at this age, and average length of day sleep-my ds sleepy cues are hard to read so sometimes I have to admit I do go by the clock!! And also what age do they dro[p the c atnap?

Can anyoone with similar age baby post their routine, I am a bit lost here!!

Thanks you SO much x ;D

Hi Beam79,
I had a similar question... and one nice mommy gave me a copy of her schedule... I hope it helps.

Good Luck.
I hope you get a bunch of responses... I am keeping an eye on your post ;D

HI there,
Just a few quick questions for you.
First of all how old is your LO, about 6 months? My Lo dropped the cat nap around that time..(he's now almost 11 months old)--I began to see sign that he no longer needed it...waking up earlier from naps, and bed time, as well as fighting going to sleep more than normal.
For solids.. I tried to do milk and cereal one after the other, but that was not happeing! So, we do bottle upon waking...then 1 hour after waking we do cereal and fruit. I started with 2 solid meals a day...morning and afternoon....and then gradually added another. They say not to do it after dinner initally becausei if something disagrees with their tummy, night time is not the best time to realize it!
Is your LO on 3 or 4 hour EASY?
HTH

Hiya

This is ours at the moment;

Wake between 6 &7am  ???
E 0730  7oz milk then readybrek with 2 icebubes of fruit
A
S1030
A (depending on length of nap)
E1200 6oz milk followed by 2 or 3 icecubes of veggies and rice or pasta or chicken + sometimes dessert
A
S (3 hours +) from last wake up time
A
E1630 6oz milk followed by 2 or 3 icecubes of veggies and rice or pasta or chicken
A 1900 ish - bath
E 1920ish 10oz milk
S anywhere between  1930 and 2000 depending on last nap  ::)

Calum gooes anywhere from 3hr+ awake time, I think this is quite long for a LO this age. I also limit his naps to no more than 3hours per day. Calum dropped the catnap about a month or so ago, I put him down for it one day in his cot and he wanted to play and got annoyed because I was trying to get him to sleep.
HTH's

Bridget I will pM you something I did for Stacy.... it may help ???
