Canned tuna as finger food?

Hey guys,
Wondering if it's OK to offer canned tuna (light in water). I think the texture would go over well because my DD loves picking up bits of grated cheese.
Thanks!

Hi I haven't given canned tuna as finger food but made up a Tuna and Brocolli pie with tuna in water and just mashed rather than pureed so the tuna was in basically the same state as it is in the can. My lo has had no trouble chewing it or enjoying it! I guess its worth having a go if your lo is developiing their pincher skills else it might be a bit tricky for them!

I hope so - we have done tuna patties (tuna, egg, green pepper, oatmeal and bread crumbs) cooked like a pancake. He loves them - he is 9 mths this week. I think you are just supposed to limit tuna to once a week or less maybe.

Yes tuna should be in moderation but I have read that canned tuna is not as bad as say a fresh tuna steak. Though I just love tuna steak! Hope your little one enjoys their Tuna!
