How do you get a baby to take more formula during the day to avoid night wakeups? I always offer my baby as much as he will take. I don't know how I could force him to take an ounce more at a feeding. He's at 6 months and still getting a dream feed, which he probably shouldn't be any more. But if I remove that, he gets up at 1 or 2 AM.

Hugs to you; I know how tough this is. I remember posting an almost identical question when my DS was younger. I don't know of any way to force your baby to eat more than he wants to. Eventually he will increase his intake as he needs it. Please don't worry about whether he "should" be getting a dream feed. If the dream feed works for you, then stick with it. We eventually stopped it, when DS only took 1 or 2 ounces in the dream feed and didn't wake up in the middle of the night hungry (most of the time). That said, there are still nights when DS will wake in the middle of the night and want a bottle (and will down 5-6 oz), but thankfully these are pretty sporadic nowadays. HTH

Whisperer can you post your routine for us please?

Is you LO teething?

DF should be phased out at around 7months, if it working for you then leave it for now.
