Help with adjusting schedule
« on: April 25, 2006, 16:30:24 pm »
Here's our current schedule:

5:30 am wake time
Nurse
Play
Breakfast
Play
8:30-10:00 Nap
Bottle
Play/Park
Lunch
Play
1:30-3:00 Nap
Bottle
Play
Dinner
Play
Bath
Bottle
Book
6:30 Bedtime
2:00 am Nurse

The routine is working great and I don't mind the 2:00 am nursing as I htink it will naturally phase out as our weaning process continues. Eventually there won't be any milk and therefor no reason to get up but for now I kind of enjoy it and we're only up for about 10 minutes.

Waht I would like is to shift everything forward one hour. So he's going to bed at 7:30 and waking up at 6:30. 5:30 is really, stupidly early to be getting up.

Any ideas or suggestions? We tried shifting his bedtime to 7:00 for a few days but he still got up at 5:30 am.

Am I thinking your DS is 9 months old?

What I would do, is put your DS down for his first nap at 8.45am-9am then shift the pm nap to 2pm.  If he is tired in the evening put him to bed a little earlier.
