anyone want to chat about the 2-1 nap switch?

We had a good 2 nap day thankfully, don't want to jinx myself but thats 2 good days in a row after nearly 2 weeks of hellish naps & the OT monster    We are still getting night wakings but I think its her teeth, still not through the little beggars
So today went like this
6am wake
9.30 in bed
9.40 asleep
10.10 woke her up (actually woke up quite easy and was happy almost straight away  )
12.45 in bed 12.50 asleep
2.35 woke up
6.30 bed, fell asleep in under 10Min's.  She might of got OT before bed I'm just watching the clock for the 45Min's to roll round and I will know for sure.  Heres keeping my fingers crossed she wasn't and that we all have a good weekend.  This is where our routine falls apart a bit, with DP home at weekends

We are having a bit of a struggle with our 2 naps today...just taking longer to get to sleep.  He just isn't all that tired.  He is obsessed with the work truck sitting outside our house...btw his first word is "tuck"!  If he has a good night we may attempt another 1 nap day tomorrow....gulp!

I hear the thunder coming, not far away now.....

and dd is just down for her nap!

well heres to better days all around!
Noah did great last night, slept straight through to 7am,  
so windown at 12 and in crib for 12:15, and he has just talked for 10min before falling asleep. I hope thats a good sign. 7pm bedtime again.

newmum, sounds as though the 30min am nap is working very well over there!

OH yes the thunderstorms, they haven't hit yet in Calgary. we have a flat roof with no attic, so you can imagine that the hail literally sounds like a full out attack! Sami, please keep them over there.

oopps, oopps, oopps!! Well all went exactly to plan until the final part of the day. We went out to DH's school for a fund raising event and got stuck in heavy traffic on the way. I didn't want to sit in it on the way home and Isabella was enjoying herself so we stayed past her planned bed time  She went down just after 7 and took 10 mins or so to settle. 4.75hrs A time - I am in trouble

well the storm has hit, I am enjoying the thunder, luckily the rain is hitting the roof and providing some "white noise".

Lila, hopefully she'll be ok, she settled well, so thats a good sign.

My dd has made it thru the storm...it wasn't a bad one either!  I think she is just plain pooped!

was just talking to Stacy and it has headed her way....

well Noah made it through the storm aswell. Unfortunately only slept til 2:00, so 1hr35min.  I'm leaving him in there to chat for as long as I can.

Hmmm...wonder if it will hit as far south as us, it is getting overcast here. 

STacy on a side note we discovered today at lunch (I got a suprise visit from DH with a birthday cake for me) that Bethany would MUCH rather have lemonade than cake.  She is infatuated with lemonade lately, and I think it's because I drank it nonstop while pregnant, LOL!

Now just keep those angry sleep gods away from our house so the babysitter can have a smooth bedtime and DH and I can have an awesome date, LOL!    Speaking of which, we're coming up on nap #2 time...better get off my duff and put her down so I can go get spiffed up (aka take a shower and maybe even consider shaving, LOL!)

WEll, last night, DH was officially on duty with Zara.  He did not give any pain relief (at any of the 4, yes 4, NW) despite my repeated suggestions to do so.  (Note here, our NW have been limited to 1, when the pain relief wears off ).  He also didn't put any socks on her, her feet were freezing this morning . And then a 5:45 wakeup!

So, another two nap day coming up for us (unless that is contributing to the problem, cause she seems happy enough right now, and did have two 1.5+ hr naps yesterday).  Darn teeth.  Anyway, we'll see...but I do suspect we will need the "cranky babies go to bed" rule!
