Update: advice seeked!
« on: April 29, 2006, 06:49:32 am »
Hey ladies! We finally had a MUCH better night altho I dont want to jump for joy...may jinx it ;) Ds woke at 3am (from 8pm bedtime) but went back to sleep in mins after being given his paci! He woke again at 4.45 so Offered a bottle which he didnt take coz I forgot to put sweetner in it :-[ ( he has a special milk which is very sour), offer it to him again at 5.30 and he guzzled it down. he then slept till 6.30 which has been his usual waking time this week put I got him off to sleep again very quickly till 7.45am YAY!!
Obviously I didnt sleep much aftre the 3am waking as wasnt used to have 5 hrs straight and was wide awakw :o

SO heres my question...did he sleep better because a) he went to bed later b)had a catnap which he doesnt normally do c)ate solids for the first time d)ANY SUGGESTIONS???

I imagine that he woke at 3am coz he was hungry as he woke again a short time later?? Do u suggest I feed him at this time instead of holding off till later?

Also do u think he slept in later coz of the later bedrime??
 ;D

I think the catnap will have helped. Night wakings are often caused by overtiredness so anything you can do to ensure your lo is not too tired will definitely help!
