How Much solids at 6 months

We have a very porky son and i am worried he's eating too much, this is what he has.

breakfast: 6oz and weetabix with formula.

11.00 6oz

lunch 5oz savoury and 3oz of sweet

3.00 6oz

dinner 5oz savoury and 3oz sweet

6.30 6oz

he has started waking in the night so i think he's hungry so have started today givning him 6oz of savoury but am so worried that this is just too much.

He is very cute, love his picture! He was actually born 5 days after my Ella I don't think he is eating too much, I don't think you need to worry he is eating too much, all lo's eat to satisfaction or how much there body needs. I would feed him until he doesn't want anymore, the only thing is keep an eye on his formula intake as it is still the most important thing for intake in the first year.

Like Sarahbo said, his amounts look fine, just keep an eye on his formula intake. Most of the guidelines I've seen recommend 26-32 oz per day at his age, and as long as his formula intake is where it should be, he can eat solids until his heart's content!

thanks both of you i thought the intake was between 18 and 28 oz mind you you could look in half a dozen books and it will say something different this is what the annabel karmel book says, i'll check with my hv on wednesday
