frozen vegis and ice cube method
« on: May 03, 2006, 00:24:19 am »
I saw a post awhile ago regarding cooking frozen vegi's and refreezing them, but I cant find it now. I have read that this okay on a couple of web sites, but that is not according to the Super Baby Food book. I have been doing this all along :-[ Any advice gladly accepted.

It is ok to use raw frozen veg (or meat) when cooking meals and then freeze what you have cooked. This is what the Annabel Karmel website says:

'Never refreeze meals that have already been frozen. The exception to this is that raw frozen food can be returned to the freezer once it is cooked. For example cooked frozen peas and be re-frozen'

I did it all the time!  Super Baby Food is overly cautious.   ::)
