Kelly - thank for your post - that is what my HV said

Lauren - I think I might try the vanilla flavoured one - see if he likes the taste better.  I too looked on the C & G webpage but did not come up with much  ???

we don't get an 8 month one anymore, however Calum is getting slotted in because he needs his testies checked again ::) they were HUGE because he was breach  ::)

What you could try and do is give a little in a cup with lunch if you are not giving a bottle afterwards.
Our lunch formula feed is down to 4ozs at the moment and 2ozs in a cup with lunch.

Hi Natasha,

Thanks for the advice - How would I fit it in giving him a little milk with his lunch.

His bottles at the moment are 7:30, 2:30 and 6:30 and he has his lunch at 11:30 - Should I just offer him some formula in a cup with his lunch?

Yes that is it and perhaps up his lunch time solids a little to compensate the missing bottle and give a snack after his nap.
This is what i am going to do when DD drops the lunch time bottle which i think will be over the next month.

Paula Catherine has started fussing with her bottles so think i might drop the lunch bottle, up the amount i give her with lunch and up her morning and night bottles. When did you find your DS started fussing with the 3 bottles?

Hi Natasha,

Sorry for the delay in replying - i found that Thomas started fussing with his bottles at around 8.5 months - Sometimes he will drain all of them and others he is just not interested in.

I am even battling with his morning bottle at the moment - luckily I can get a lot of his milk in his cereal.

what we have found is  just offer him 4oz at his 2:30 and he will drink some of that and then I top him off with a yoghurt and that seems to do him until 4:30 when he has his dinner.  I have asked MIL to do this as he does not take his bottles very well with her - I thought this weekend I would try my luck and offer him his normal bottle and to my amazement he has drained 7oz yesterday and today - so now I am not sure.  To be honest thought I do think that it will be so much easier when he is only on 2 bottles - he has never been really fussed on his milk, so will probably just drop that bottle completely in the next couple of weeks and just up his morning and his night time bottle - maybe it will make him take his morning one a lot better.

I will let you know how I get on - Keep me posted on how Catherine is doing.

hi

At 9 1/2-10mths Phoebe went to 2 bottles Morning and bedtime. She had about 6/8oz at each feed.
THe afternoon one was taking away appitete for tea so dropped it. I was tld as long as a min of 12oz was taken it was OK. I gave calcium replacement like yoghurt with fruit, stick/grated cheese,rice oudding.For tea time a soup made with milk corn chowder.potato and leek soup so day where milk was on low side I knew she was making it up else where.

If you are having bad days why not try a smoothie, milk, natural yoghurt, fruit of LO liking (not wanint brekkie milk) tastier and yummier than shop flavoured milks.

Thanks for that Paula, yesterday i gave Catherine 8oz bottles morning and night, 2ozs of milk in a cup with breakfast and lunch, 2ozs in her cereal and then 4ozs in her cup with lunch. NO lunchtime bottle and she didn't miss it at all. I also up her lunch by giving more yoghurt and fruit and giving her some cheese to eat. So in total she is having 24ozs still which is in the amount bracket she is suppose to have.

 I use cows milk as that is what Phoebe will be drinking. She is OK with it. Her morning bottle is 75%cow and 25% formula getting ready for change at 1year.
You could use formula as well.
When I make her one I usually have one as well.
She loves her swing for all of 5 mins and than has to move on, always on the move.
