My 6 month old has had many nights when she will sleep 12 hours and then we have a few nights when she wakes for a bottle. The wakings don't correspond with a growth spurt, so I am not sure if I should feed or offer water. Here is our routine:
7:30/7:45 wake
8:00 8 oz. Bottle
9:00 1-1.5 T. cereal/fruit mixed
10:00-11:30 nap
12:00 8 oz. Bottle
1:00-1-2 T. vegetables
2:00-4:00/4:30 nap
4:00 8 oz. bottle
5:00 1-1/5 T. cereal/fuit mixed
7:00/7:30 Bottle-10 oz./bed
Sometiems she will sleep straight through until 7:30. Sometimes she wakes around 4-5 am for a bottle (usually 5 oz.) and then straight back to sleep until 7:30. When she does take the 4 am bottle, her other bottles for the day stay the same. So, she has an additional 5 oz. for the day. I am just wondering, does she really need this am bottle. It's not a habitual waking, b/c it is not every day and never at the same time. I am just confused why some days she doesn't need it and some days she does.
Thanks so much,
Angie
