4week old on EASY help !
« on: May 07, 2006, 11:33:53 am »
Hi there- jamie is 4 weeks old and ive had him on EASY for 3 weeks now, i know and expect teething problems so early on but lately jamie seems to be either falling asleep straight after a feed or during a feed, ive tried different teats so he isnt getting board or overtired but then once hes awake after a sleep he is awake for quite a while - how long should the activity time be for a 4week old? and how long should his naps be? at the moment he tends to have a 45minute nap in the morning then about 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon followed by another 45min -1hour late afternoon, he has his bath and bottle at 7-7.30 and then goes to bed sleeping till 3am for a feed and again at 5.30am, then up and awake at 7.30am.

i want to get back on track with the EASY but for the past 3days or so he is just wanting to either fall asleep during/after a feed and then is awake for ages, i just dont want him to be getting overtired - any ideas suggestions....

thanks.

we didn't introduce activity time untill later on , Ryan basically ate and slept at 4wks ! here is a link on E.A.S.Y 0-3 months . you may find it helps .

have you tried chnaging his nappy or stipping him down to his vest during feeds to wake him up again. As Ryans mum says, you can't really expect too much at this stage.

If you want to post your routine for us to look us then feel free. By the sounds of the post below there isn't too much if anything wrong.  ;)
