Author Topic: Help-can't log in-have had to reregister-Topic merged with Resolved (Read 3732 times)

Hi

My user name was J&Jsmom (before that it was Josh's mom). When I try to log in use J&Jsmom it says the name isn't recognised. I followed the instructions posted here about deleting cookies and trying again, but it didn't work. Now I've reregistered with the name Peekaboo but I want my old name/history back!! Help

I don't know what's happened but this site won't let me log on as me anymore (this is J&J's mom - Melissa, previously known as Josh's mom). So I've had to re-register with a new name and am now officially new on the block again (even though I'm really not). I've posted about this on the glitches board but if anyone knows how to help, please let me know so that I don't lose my BW history. But until then, I am Peekaboo.

Hi Melissa , you sure like to keep us on our toes !
sometimes when i login after been off for a while i forget i don't have a space in my username , it tells me i have incorrect password . so on many occasions i have thought this was wrong but it was my username. i now keep it saved on my comp incase i forget. it could be your username !

I think it's because my user name is J&Jsmom and they won't accept the & symbol. But even if I spell it out in full it doesn't work. It seems weird that when I registered that name it was accepted but now when I try to log in with it they won't accept it. Am very confused.

when we changed to this site , although my username is registered ryan'smum i only type ryansmum no ' .it still shows up with the ' .have you tried JJsmom without & and ' ? a lot of members had problems registering on the new site with their old usernames

Mellissa, J&JsMom is your display name. Your username, and the one you need to input is Joshs mom (no apostrophe).

Try that as your username and post back to update please

Aha! That was the problem. I did try typing in Joshsmom - but I didn't leave a space. Yay. I'm back. Thanks for your help.

One more thing - I want to change my email address in my profile info but when I type in my new email address it just comes up saying: must be a valid email address. not sure if it's saying this because I've now used that email address to registed the peekaboo name? Can you delete the Peekaboo registration and help me to change my email address in my account info. I'll pm you my new email address. thanks
