Not tired at nap time...
« on: May 12, 2006, 14:28:08 pm »
Hi,

My 17 week old ds is on 3 hour EASY, which I am planning to extend soon as I'm seeing signs he's ready.  Can you please help me with this  problem:-

Currently, when it gets to the time he should nap, he isn't showing any signs of tiredness.  By the time he does show signs, it's only 45 mins to his next feed.  Question - do I put him down anyway, swaddled and with his paci, in the hope he'll go down, or do I stick to his cues and risk him not napping enough.

Is extending his routine to 3.5 likely to sort this out?

Thanks,

Mama

Extending to a 3.5 or even 4 hr EASY will likely sort things out  :D  I would listen to his cues and start putting him down later.  See how long he sleeps... that can be your clue as to whether or not he can handle the 3.5 or 4 hours between feeds.
Good luck!
