Cereal for 15month old
« on: May 16, 2006, 06:04:15 am »
Hi everybody

Just want to know when I can start giving cereal like Rice Krispies; Corn Flakes to my 15 month old. She's been eating more of my breakfast cereal than her own. Then - how much do I give? (portion wise)

Thanks

Maret

My ds has been eating 'grown up' cereals since before his birthday.  I would suggest that as long as she is able to chew and use finger foods then I can't see that there is a problem.  As for amounts, I give approx 1 handful in a bowl either dry for finger foods or with just a splash of milk and he will 'feed' himself with a spoon.  But it's best to just go by her appetite.
