Well, you would actually want him to sleep closer to 1.5 hrs each cycle to get enough rest during the day.  You can use Tracy's sleep training methods (wake to sleep, or sshh/pat) to extend naps as well as teach independent sleep.  If you cannot get him to sleep until the next feeding time (which you want to keep the same), take him out of the crib, but keep the activity very low key and have him awake until the next feeding.  Keep in mind though, that he may become tired sooner after the next feeding since he's already been awake for awhile.
