When did you start giving your baby water?

We started when we started solids, around 6 months.

How much water would you give? Did you boil the water and then cool it.

Yes, I would boil then cool. The amounts were minuscule; 1/2 ounce would be probably the most because I did not want it to ruin her appetite but it really helped with her bowel movements plus it was the summer so I just felt it was the right thing to do.

i started at 4 or 5 months. i would also boil and cool it down

we started at 5/6 months old to help with constipation .we boiled and cooled the water , he didn't drink much in the day.

we started with solids at about 5 months but she didn't really take to it until about 7.5 months.  we used sterile water (boiled and cooled) until 8 months and then moved to tap water.

We would give Brandon around an ounce of water when he was 2 months only if he was constipated. We continue to give it to him if he's having a stomach ache or gas but not enough to ruin his appetite. If he was having a particularly bad day we would give him a little after a feeding. I usually put a few gas drops in it too. It always seems to help him out.

I started both my DD and Ds with water at 3 weeks.
They were both born in the summer in Australia with temps of 34-38 degrees every day.

They took it no probs.
