Ds is 10mo and this is his rough feeding routine:

7am BF
8am cereal with fruit
10.30am BF
12 noon lunch - sandwiches and fruit (sometimes a sip of water too)
3pm BF and banana
5.30pm dinner (usually what we're having)
6.15pm BF

As you can see we're usually having 4 BFs a day still... although if we're out/have visitors, often the 3pm feed doesn't really happen.  He is a big boy, and I'm not at all concerned with his solids intake (sometimes he eats heaps, other times not so much).  By his age, both my dd's were down to 3 feeds... wondering if I should do the same for him, and maybe he'd feed better???  I haven't given him much practice with a sippy cup, so not sure how much water he could actually consume.

I thought i would post our routine.  Riley is 10.5 mths, and at his last dr. appointment he hadn't put on much weight since his previous visit (although he has always been smaller) so the dr recommended i feed him solids first then bottle which he is fine with.

7:30 - wake and play
8 - cereal or toast and fruit, water from a sippy
9:30 - 7 oz bottle
10:30-11:30 - nap
12 - lunch :meat, fruit, veg, cheese, water
1:30 - 7 oz bottle
2:30-3:30 - nap, then snack of fruit or cheerios
5 - supper: veg, meat whatever, water
7 - bath, 7 oz bottle and bed

He won't take his formula from a sippy, but i'm hoping when i switch him to cows milk he will.  Lately he has been refusing more pureed foods, and can't use a spoon yet, so he's mostly on finger foods.  I'm running out of finger food ideas that won't have my whole house covered in food, so if you have any suggestions pls let me know.

Denise, I always say that there is no rush to drop the milk feeds because milk is the most important source of nutrition until baby is a year, but if a 3 feed a day routine improves ds's overall milk and solid consumption, go with it :)

Blitz, check out the Recipes section for loads of great Finger Food ideas (the Finger Foods for Young Babies thread has ideas that would suit older babies too).

My LO just turned 10 mo this week  :o  She loves to feed herself, and I'm am afraid she's starting to lose interest already in baby foods!

Here is her feeding routine, dropped one bottle one week ago:

6:30 - bottle (8 oz.)
8:30 - breakfast - about 1/4 cup cereal mixed w/2-3 oz. formula; 1/2 jar or so fruit (stage 2 size); juice mixed w/water from sippy; cheerios and/or a piece of toast if not liking the cereal
11:00 - snack - cheerios; pieces of fruit or veggie; bottle (6-8 oz.)
12:30/1:00 - lunch - about 1/4 cup cereal mixed w/2-3 oz. formula; 1/2 jar or so veggie or fruit (stage 2 size); juice mixed w/water from sippy; cheerios
3:00 - snack - crackers; pieces of fruit; cheerios (usually some combination of these); sippy
5:30 - dinner - the past 2 days, she's had what we've had for dinner.  The night before we had chicken; stuffing & peas, last night we had a beef roast and green beans.  she had some beef, but mostly left over chicken & peas.
7:00/7:30 - bottle (8 oz.)

At what age can we consider moving totally away from the jarred/pureed baby foods & cereal???

My LO is almost 12 months so thought I would share his routine before he outgrows the group.

7 - Bottle 8 oz
9:30 - Cereal, waffle, or cereal bar
12:30 - Yogurt rice, maccoroni and cheese, or grilled cheese AND fruit yogurt
3 - Bottle 8 oz
5:30 - Whatever we are having
7:30 - Bottle 8 oz

He is struggling with finishing his bedtime bottle so we are thinking about dropping the afternoon bottle and replacing it with a calcium rich snack.  I want to try and wait til his first birthday before doing it though.  We'll see how it goes

My LO is 11 months old and here is what we are currently doing (we just moved her 1st bottle to after breakfast and she seems to take in much more milk this way)

7:30am breakfast - 1/2 eggo waffle and 2-3oz cut up fruit
10:00/10:30am - 9oz formula (used to have this first thing in the morning but would only take about 5-6 oz then, now she takes 9oz!!)
12:00pm lunch - 4 oz yogurt and 1/2 sandwhich w/o crust, usually peanut butter, cheese & tukey, or just cheese
2:30pm - 9oz formula
4:00pm snack - is always small, usually crackers, popcorn, or a 1/2 banana
5:30/6:00pm dinner - has what we are eating, lasagna, spaghetti, rice, or whatever is on the menu
7:00/7:30pm - 7-8oz formula

This is a good day.  She doesn't always take so much formula and some days won't eat much at dinner at all!!!

Hi Haileymon, welcome to BW! - this thread is just for routine samples only, if you want to know more about yoghurt you can try posting in the solid foods forum to get more help with feeding :D
