growth spurt???
« on: May 31, 2006, 15:02:37 pm »
Hi!  My 3 mos old has been a pretty regular 3 hour eater (4-4.5 oz) and rarely was crying at eating time.  Suddenly she is screaming to eat (at least that's the only thing i can come up with) after 2-2.5 hours.  this is only happening during the day time feeds so far.  (knock on wood)i've been trying giving her more but she's spitting up so my question is should i just stick to 4.5 oz and feed her when screaming or give her more?  also is this even a growth spurt or do they just have hungrier days?  does anyone think she may be craving more than formula, like rice or cereal.  i've heard it's not recommended until 4 mos.  She's also not napping as well.  :P ugh!   Thanks :0)

It could definitley be a growth spurt. 3 months is an average time for one. If you cannot get her to take in more ounces at each feed, I would feed more often. Growth spurts can throw EASY way off! I have heard of them lasting up to 10 days. Hope that helps.

Hi, my 2 month old seems to be eating and sleeping less during the day during the past 2 weeks. She was doing great on easy and now it seems she has no routine. However, she sleeps great at night. Is this a growth spurt?
