Lentils aren't digesting

I know this is kind of gross but I give my daughter lentils all the time as a source of protein as well as it being a healthy legume. The problem is that whether I boil them or heat them from a can, she doesn't digest them. I find them in her stools constantly, I also find flax seed in her stools as well. I put flax seeds in her yoghurt. Is she just not ready to digest this or is something wrong ? I'm worried because I use them as sources of protein in her meals because she hates all purees. Anybody have any ideas ?

maybe crush them a bit before you feed them?  i was going to say puree them but if she doesn't like purees..... though i suppose you could puree them to mix in with everything else you are giving.

adults don't digest the outsides of some legumes very well either (sweetcorn for example) or many seeds, which is the whole point of seeds biologically, that the fruit gets eaten and digested, the seeds don't but pass through to be deposited somewhere and grow. so maybe flax seeds aren't easily digested by adults either?

TBH i've not tried corrn oyet other than really pureed, and the same with lentils, so i'm not sure how much they're digested!!

maybe none of us can properly digest corn or lentils??
