Awake time for 6 month old.
« on: June 05, 2006, 14:11:01 pm »
What is a good awake time to shoot for with my 6 month old?  She does 2 hours now, but will go to 2.5-3 when needed.  should I make it longer because she will or keep it at 2 hours which fits into the 4 hour EASY better.  What is the benefit of extending their awake time more?  thank you.

If she is still napping and sleeping well at night, I would leave things as is.  I found that when my dd did not have enough A time, she began to have 45 minute naps... that was my cue to extend the A time.

makes sense.  everything is good with naps and night sleeping with 2 hours of A.  i will watch for shorter naps as to when we need to extend awake time.  Thank you!!
