New wake time
« on: June 06, 2006, 06:12:54 am »
My DD is 3 months old (today) and usually can sleep for at least a 6 hours stretch (sometimes even 8). In the past 3 days she's been waking up after only 4 and a half hours. On the first night we tried to calm her back to sleep for about 30 minutes and eventually I fed her. She ate quite a lot (breastfed) and went back to sleep. In the following 2 nights I fed her immediately and she seemed pretty hungry. She woke up at the same time in all 3 nights. Could this be a growth sprut? Or would this be a newly adopted wake time? If she's been eating so much I can assume she was hungry and not try to remove this feeding (2 wakings instead of 1), right?

Thanks,
Tuty

sounds like a growth spurt, start trying to get more into her during the day untill she no longer needs the night feeds
