Bedtime routine a little fuzzy- please help
« on: June 07, 2006, 14:14:37 pm »
Hello everybody...

I just started my 11 week old Audrey on the the EASY schedule the other day and she's been doing great- during the day.  I'm a little confused on the order of things when it comes to dream feeds and cluster feeds, and though have been pouring over her books, haven't been able to figure anything out.  I've been clustering her around 6 and 8 and then after the latter I give her a bath and put her down.  My husband will give her a dream feed at around 11pm, but she won't take more than an ounce.  She'll then wake at 3:30am or so to have a serious full feed.  What am I doing wrong?  Can anyone help?!?!??! ??? ???

Wrong is not in my vocabulary  ;D

Try doing your cluster at 3 ,5, and final feed at 7 and into bed(at 7pm earlier is better at your LO's age) then do dreamfeed at 10:30 and she should take a larger feed. She may never take a full feed but the bigger the longer she can last.

Rearange your routine so your day starts at 7am (if it doesn't already) and try to have 2 naps of 1.5 hours, and 1 45 minute nap about an hour before bed.

HTH

Thanks for the help and suggestions, just one quick question... should I put her down after her feed or feed her, bathe her, and then put her down?
