question, just staring EASY..
« on: June 11, 2006, 11:41:54 am »
We just started using the EASY method yesterday.  My dd already seems to like it. if she falls asleep a half hour after feeding, do i only let her sleep the 1.5hrs then feed her?  do i try to keep her awake after her feed?
example...this was our morning..
E 630am
A 700am
S 730am
so i wake her at 9am, then start from there?

hi there, how old is your dd?? but i see you will be on a 3hr routine, so it would look something like this:

6:30 eat
7:00 activity
7:30 sleep
9:30 eat
10:00 activity
10:30 sleep
12:30 eat
1:00 activity
1:30 sleep
3:30 eat
4:00 activity
4:30 sleep
6:30 eat
7:00 bath
7:30 bedtime
10pm DF

it would look something like that more or less.

if she wakes a bit earlier hungry let's say at the 2.5hr mark, its ok, this would be just a guideline, and if it is 9:30 and she hasn't woken up, then yes you should wake her up. hope this helps

my dd is 7 weeks old.  that schedule looks kind of likewhat we were doing, but  i was looking at it like -awake for 1.5hrs for feed and activity, then sleep for 1.5 hrs.  but if she's only up for an hour then the last 2 would be sleep.  i get it =) thanks..

if you think she will be abble go handle 1.5hr of wake time, then so be it, but just make sure she doesn't get overtired, 'cause my DS at that age didn't take it very well past beeing 1hr awake, he got pretty upset after 1hr, but he has allways been a really good sleeper, so i don't know how your dd is. but idealy, you should start the wind down after the hr awake. hope this helps :D
