Mayonnaise
« on: June 13, 2006, 14:17:51 pm »
Gave this to LO (17mths) today but then read on the ingredients that it contains egg.  Raw egg?  OMG.  Does this mean I shouldn't give it to him?

Hello Ivy,
If it was from a jar such as Hellman's, I would imagine it would pasturised, dried egg. Hard-boiled eggs for over 12 months old are ok and I would just  avoid "home-made" mayonnaises, which would potentially contain raw egg (a bit like advice given to pregnant women...).
