PM walk too much?
« on: June 14, 2006, 02:27:02 am »
I have a 6 week old LO who has been going down really well for her first 2 naps, but not well for PM or night time. In the AM she will basically put herself to sleep with a swaddle and passi. But in the PM she fights sleep, and bed time is brutal.

The only difference I can find is I take a walk with her after her 3pm feed, and she gets a bath before bed. Do you think the walk is too much for her right now? Is it too disruptive to her sleep? Also, I left the bath out tonight to see if not having that stimulation helped, it didn't. I fed her at 7, and by 9 she was still awake. (Part of the problem here was her tummy troubles, but I am posting that on another board.)

What do you all think?

Thanks!
Holly

Our routine looks like:

A 330 - walk
S 400 - while on walk

this is what I try for. The PM stuff doesn't work very well at the moment.....I'm still trying to determine why!

You could maybe try to do the walk in the morning, and keep it really low key in the afternoon, and see how she takes it :-\
