Help - routine 11 months at nursery and home!
« on: June 15, 2006, 13:44:58 pm »
Hi everyone,
My twins are starting nursery at the grand age of 11 months and am very confused on the "new" rountine that they need to be in. I have been very "routined" since their birth as thats helped me get through the madness of the twins.
they have been on the gina ford routine (adapted to tracy hogg so they dont cry like gine sugggests - so a mix and match etc) ;-

7am bottle
8.30 brekkie
11.30 lunch
2.30-3.00 bottle
5.00 tea
7.00 bottle and sleep.

At nursery they will have the above but tea will be given at 3.30pm. Not sure if I should then feed them at home after the come back from nursery which will be 6.30 by the time I finish work and pick them up. The tea at 3.30 isnt that great - sandwich or crackers and cheese so not that filling. It seems it will all be very manic when I get back from work to do the whole bedtime routine!

What do you other mums do? Help.

Hi,
My son is almost 10 months and has been at daycare (I am assuming nursery is the same thing) since he was 3 months old. I went with the flow, because his schedule changed depending on what they did during the day. It was easier for me to follow their schedule instead of constantly changing things for Parker. He is also at the point where he can go a little longer between meals.

I hope this helps-

I don't have to worry about nursery but most of my friends do and they make a happy compromise with the tea thing on nursery days by allowing them to have nursery tea and then a little something more when they get home so that the babies have had enough food late enough to get through the night.  they leave their normal tea time the same for non nursery days
