how do i stop this without having a screaming baby?  she does cluster feed before her bedtime.  but then she is definatly comfort nursing.  we do her bedtime routine around 7pm.  we're trying to get her to go to bed earlier.  oh yeah, she 8 weeks old.  she was going down at 11pm.  last night she finally went down at 10pm.  if she falls asleep earlier, she sleeps for 30 min then wakes up crying. it doesn;t matter if i put her down half asleep in her crib doing pat shush, or if she falls asleep nursing.   i do the pat shush but it doesn't help when she wakes like that.  the only thing that calms her is to bf her.  we do the swaddling, dark room, white noise.  any ideas?
thanks in advance, chris

:-\  I'm sorry that I can't help you but I can sympathize with you.  I can usually get my lo to go to bed at night without bf right before bed (she likes to fall asleep on my nipple) but sometimes she will wake up an hour later screaming and like you, the only way we can calm her is to bf her.  I am interested to see what comes up here.  Thanks for posting this question.
