My 9 mos baby girl has just mastered crawling. For the first time ever, she's waking up all through the night to "practice." After she tires, she cries to be re-swaddled & tucked back in, only to wake 2 hours later to "practice" again. I've begun weaning her off her swaddle blanket, although, she still loves it when she initially falls asleep.
Question: Is it alright to allow her to settle herself back to sleep in an uncomfortable position - i.e. head nestled in the corner of the crib padding, or should I go in every time and place her neatly in the middle on her back? [I worry about these awkward positions she falls asleep in.] So far, I've been going in and re-positioning her. She goes right back to sleep immediatley, without even being picked up or turning the light on. She just seems to need help getting situated again.
I've been an EASY mom from the beginning, and it's worked so well with my angel/textbook baby. I just don't want to start a bad habit now. I'd love to hear if anyone has had a similar expereience.
