Introducing solids too late ?
« on: June 27, 2006, 07:01:29 am »
Is there such a thing as introducing solids too late? My dp's cousin bf exclusively for 8 months. Her dd is now about 16 months old and hates eating solids. She will eat cereal (Pro Nutro) and other "mushy" things, but hasn't progressed to eating more solid foods than this. She also only started teething at about 13 months.

Not sure about the starting solids late but my  nephew did fine with finger foods and such and he didn't get any teeth until he was 12 months.  All kids are different and some take longer to get used to solids so you have to take it slower.

Sounds normal to me.  Is the ped. concerned?
