how long has been waking like this for.. could it be a growth spurt? have you been feeding him when he wakes and if so, how much does he take?

hi erinsmum!
he has been doing this waking several times a night for about 3 weeks now. i feed him usually the first time he wakes which is generally around 2. he will take his normal feed which is about 4 ounces. when he wakes after that i try to get him to go back to sleep with out feeding him sometimes he goes back to sleep, sometimes i have to feed him. i have been getting confused as to when to feed tho, because he wakes sometimes at 1 and ill try to feed him and he will only take about 2 ounces. so i figure he must not have been hungry, but then the next time he wakes, about two hours later, i dont know if it is from hunger or not because he didnt take a full feeding last time. so i am not sure if i should feed him or not. he has gone from 7 till 4 or 5 am with a df at 1030 ish. before this every two hour waking started so i know he can do it, he just isnt. any thoughts??

LOs have a giant growth spurt at 3 mo. or thereabouts, I suspect that's what's going on with you. The hunger cry for most LOs has a coughlike quality, so you might try and listen for that. Otherwise, I would just go with the flow for a couple days.
