Need advice RE: Waking in the night.
« on: July 02, 2006, 23:18:29 pm »
Hi everyone, could someone please give me some advice. My 14 week old dd was sleeping through the night but every now and again will wake once through te night anywhere between 3 and 6am. She is on 3 hour EASY and drinks about 120ml - 150ml each feed. I think but i am not sure that this waking has happened when we have been out for the day and she has only had about a 1/2 hour nap in her pram instead of the full 1 1/2 hours. When we go out again i will make note to see if this is the cause.
This is a typical days routine:

E: 7am
A: 7.30 8.15/8.30
S: 8.15/8.30 - 10.00

E: 10.00-10.30
A: 10.30-11.15/11.30
S: 11.15/11.30 - 1.00

E: 1.00-1.30
A: 1.30-2.15/2.30
S: 2.15/2.30 - 4.00

E: 4.00-4.30
A: 4.30 - 5.30
S: this can be anywhere between 20 mins to 1hr

A: Bath at 6.00
E: 6.30
Bedtime 7pm.

Any advice on why she is waking early?

Hi there - sorry for the delay, both of my co-mods are away right now so I'm doing my best to keep up!

I do think that it's important for naps to be consisent. Good daytime sleep makes for good nighttime sleep. I would make sure that she gets a full nap even when out for the day, and that last evening nap should be at least 45 minutes.
