Thanks Sasha's mummy.  :) After getting a couple hours of sleep I'm in a little better frame of mind. (My dh and I take shifts taking care of dd on the weekend mornings.) I never thought of the TV idea - thanks. Don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a try. I think she's waking even earlier than normal (5:30am) because of teething - but of course I don't know for sure. I will be SO happy when all of her teeth are finally in!

Thanks again!

Sasha's mummy,

Our dd is in the midst of getting her cuspids (eye teeth), which I think is what is causing the extremely early wakings. But today she woke up at 6am - yay!  ;D So I hope, hope, hope, that we at least get a short break until the next one comes. She's got 2 more cuspids to go, and then the 2- year molars.

Thanks again to you and JoC for the support and hugs!  :)

Hi,
we are doing ok at the moment, touch wood. Up at 6am this morning after a nervous couple of minutes at 4.30am! But, back to slep after a bit of whimpering. Been up after 5 every morning this week :). However, i fear that this is but a brief calm before the proverbial storm as i can feel several teeth coming through gums and they are some of the back 8 so i am expecing turbulance for duration of the foreseeable future. Oh well, nice and rested after my lie-ins (5.30-6am!!!) Hoorah ;D
Could be the most heated bank holiday on record ;)

sending good teething  bank holiday vibes to you ;D ;D
i remember when DD was getting her molars :'( :'(. the 1st was awful but the rest czme through very quickly and easily.

DD is not a great teether (has 16 now :o) and pretty much teethed from 6 mths onwards (having a break now ;D ;D) .i'm sure thats why we suffered so long with early wakings (thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!!!).

she now sleeps until 7am.funnily enough she started sleeping later when i asked for this support thread!!!!!!!!!

Hi there.  A bit of improvement here.  DD is now 5 months, and sleeps til about 5:45. we are pretty happy about this time.  However, to acheive this, plus try to get her to sleep some during day, she is now only having 10hr night maximum.  Going to be big probs when she is a bit bigger I think, she doesn't need as much sleep as other babies her age.

Well the bank holiday is over,

Thanks for the good teething vibes Sashasmummy, think they did the trick, however, needed croup vibes cos he started with that last night.
All that wheezing scared the beejesus out of me at 1 am this morning. Thank goodness for the calm ladies on the NHSDirect helpline.
Spent an hour in the bathroom sweating and getting my hair frizzy(SO not a good look, even at 2 in the morning, considered getting out the GHD's but remembered the lo is my priority now), but he slept til 7.30!!!
I am confused as he is now sleeping til 7ish before waking for bottle(the last week or so), but we are having more night wakings at 1-3am.
If its not one thing...!!!

sending get well soon vibes ;D
poor LO. hope he starts feeling better soon.
i've used the NHS direct line when DDs been ill.i think their excellent ;D ;D and helped me get an emergency appt for DD when she had an ear infection (the Nurse at the Drs surgery had been telling me to just give her calpol for the week as it sounded like teething).

is it the croup thats waking him at 1am?

Hi, It was this morning. Think it is still his back teeth waking him the other days as the times are all over the place. Actually thinking he may have ear infection, keeps pulling left ear. This can be teeth too i think ???
Actually at doctors this morning and forgot to ask him to look at ds's ears, doh! ::)
