hot weather...how much water?
« on: July 17, 2006, 02:21:55 am »
my 1 year old is a good eater...takes 3 x 8oz bottles of milk per day plus 3 decent solid meals and snacks.
Today was a very hot day.  He usually has water with snacks and in between (doesn't affect meals).  In a day he may take 6oz but he must've had at least 9-10 oz today.  It was 35 plus humidex...i guess he needed it??

How much is too much?

Gosh, I'm not really sure.  I've been giving Ryan water whenever he needs it and he's needed a lot.  He eats as much as your lo (sounds like it anyway) and drinks the same amount of milk.  I haven't noticed any difference in his eating since he's been drinking more water.  The only downfall is that he has very full diapers sometimes and it's pushed back our potty training plans until after the summer heat.   ;D

I say as long as his milk and food intake isn't affected, you're not giving him too much.
