Bedtime troubles
« on: July 19, 2006, 23:55:24 pm »
Hi,

My DD is 3.5 months old on a 3.5 hr easy.  She is perfect in the day at going down for naps.  I actually wake her after 2 hrs from 2 of her naps.  The problem arises for bedtime.  One of two things happens, she is difficult to get down the first time and takes a couple of tries and/or she wakes after 15 to 30 mins of sleep and can't seem to get herself back to sleep.  It usually takes another 45mins to 1hour to get her back down.  I have tried patt/shush with little success.  Any ideas on what the problem might be?  This has been going on since she was 6 weeks old...

Also, I have just started the dream feed again as it didn't work the first try.  She takes the feed no problem but then still gets up for a 1am and 4am feed.  I have basically just added a feed.  Any ideas?

How much do you feed her at 1 and 4 a.m.?
I have problem with dream feed as well. My Mi will wake up from her dream feed and then awake for another two hours  :-[
Then falls back to sleep and sleep through the night. (11:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m.)
I'm thinking of dropping dream feed and let her sleep until she's hungry.

Hi,  I am not sure how much I feed her as I am BF but she seems to eat well most times.  There is the odd time that I leave her room thinking I shouldn't not have fed her as she didn't eat much at all.

I have tried to drop the DF to see what happens but now she is waking up before 10pm.  I really hope this is a very long growth spurt.
