My kids love blueberries too but I find that they give them the runs if they eat too much. Maybe just keep an eye on her poops to see if she's getting a little runny.

Ds LOVES blueberries - it's so cute watching him pop them like sweets.

In fact my Mum today, as ds was sitting eating his blueberries after dinner said "Do you think he'd like to try a bit of chocolate"  ::). I thought, 'why?'. He couldn't enjoy it any more than the bbs, and they're soooo good for you.

I agree about checking the poo though, and maybe changing the flavour of the yoghurt - if nothing else just introducing her to different flavours and keeping her diet varied.
Caroline :)

I also have a question about blueberries.  My 6-month old hasn't yet tried them. I'm wondering how to prepare them? Steam, boil, then puree in blender?  When can she start to eat them like fingerfood? I'm scared they'd get stuck.

I steam them for a min in the microwave - then puree them.  Becareful those suckers have a ton of juice - Any juice I dont use in the actual puree, I save to add to his plain yogurt for kicks.

Oh PS - turns Owen's poo greenish-blue.  Squash makes it kinda orangish too.  A rainbow of surprises!

Sounds just like my family. I think they're getting the clue now after saying a million times, "Why would I give him chocolate when he enjoys the blueberries so much and they're so much better for you?! He has his whole life to eat that stuff, why not start him on a healthy path now?"

Oh my gosh, my dd is WILD about blueberries. I swear she would eat an entire carton if I let her. She has the skins of the blueberries in her poop. I asked her ped. if that's ok and he said it was fine.  Yay for yummy antioxidants. :)

Well from my understanding and reading - its no berries; strawberries, raspberries, blackberries until I year.  Blueberries are in the cranberry family and Ok to have before 1 year:  https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=38818.msg251553#msg251553

Hope that helps.
