Please advise starting on solids
« on: July 28, 2006, 13:47:36 pm »
I started my DS on cereals 3 weeks ago and so far he is doing very good. He has 4-5 tbsp of cereal one hour after his morning feeding and again one hour after 3 pm feeding. I want to start introducing veggies and fruit now but I don't know what is the best time to do it. Is it better at morning when he has his cereal or should I try at noon as if lunch?
Thanks

The advantage to offering new foods in the morning is so you have the whole day to watch for an allergic reaction.  I would offer a new food in the AM and the cereal in the PM.  Once the new food is established, you can move it the the PM as well.
