Bowel Movements = Night Wakings
« on: August 02, 2006, 12:47:43 pm »
Eack night my 4 month old son wakes up at 3 am and sometimes 5 am due to a bowel movement.  Mostly, I can settle him back to sleep within half and hour after a diaper changed.

When will he be able to go through the night without a bowel movement?  I breastfeed.

whenever his body starts to turn things around.    ;)  it will eventually.  it is kinda an old wives' tale, but you might want to take a look at what you are eating.  see if you can eat something that (when he gets it in your breastmilk) will help him 'go' earlier on in the day.
